Full details of Insurance, Damage Cover and Damage Excess for your Top Down Rentals Vehicle are contained in the Rental Terms and Conditions here. Reading, acknowledging and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions is a condition of all Vehicle Rental Agreements with Top Down Rentals.
Damage Excess
One of the conditions of renting a Top Down Rentals Vehicle is the pre-authorisation by credit card of a Damage Excess which covers damage, Third Party Loss or any excess charges incurred by you during the term of your rental. This can include cleaning, fumigation, fuel, fines & infringements, mechanical repairs, etc. Full details are contained in the Rental Terms and Conditions here. You may be able to purchase insurance against your Damage Excess from a number of travel insurance companies including Cover-More Travel Insurance* with their purpose-designed Rental Car Protection* policy, which can provide you with cover for excess charges you may incur as outlined above or in the event of an accident that causes Third Party Loss. Cover from Cover-More starts from around AUD$9.00/day.
Top Down Rentals will charge a Damage Excess of up to AUD$7,000 (for Mercedes-Benz SLK350) in the event of excess charges you may incur as outlined above or in the event of an accident that causes Third Party Loss. Cover-More's Rental Car Protection policy may cover this excess. Renters can check if they qualify for a Cover-More policy here.
